Dr. Humera Khan became Head of the Department of Chemistry at the International University of Erbil in 2024, where she serves as Lecturer, Researcher, and Academic Leader. She is dedicated to advancing the department through teaching, research, and student mentorship.
Dr. Humera Khan holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from India. She also earned a Master’s degree in Chemistry from India, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and a Bachelor’s degree in Education from India.
Her academic career spans over six years, during which she has taught undergraduate courses, supervised research, and contributed significantly to academic development. Before joining IUE, Dr. Humera Khan worked as a Lecturer at Tishk International University and as a Part-time Lecturer at Pandav Science Academy, India, where she guided students in both classroom and research settings.
Her research primarily focuses on Organic Chemistry, particularly the synthesis and characterization of natural compounds. She has published multiple research articles in reputed international journals and actively participates in academic conferences worldwide.
With her strong background in teaching and research, Dr. Humera Khan is committed to fostering scientific curiosity, encouraging collaborative learning, and equipping students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in chemistry.
